What expansions are most vital for a ranger/monk?
Thought it best to make a different topic for this specific question.
I have guild wars and EOTN. I will play a ranger/monk. If I only buy one more expansion, just for skills for PVP, which expansion would you recommend? |

EOTN. because it's the only true expansion....all the others are stand-alone games. :P
Your best bet, if you are going for just PvP skills, is to check out Anet's pvp skill pack. i think they put all pvp skills in it, not sure how it works though. |

This will depend on what you are wanting to do with the game. If you are just looking to do PvE, then the 2 you have will suffice until you decide that you might like more. If you are wanting to do PvP, then its kind of vital (depending on your build) to have all the games, that way no matter what build you are asked to run, you will have all the necessary skills/mods unlocked and ready to go for a PvP char or your PvE char (skills only on PvE char)

Definitely NF, for [mending touch], [burning arrow], and [magebane shot].
For [bha] and [glass arrows] you need factions, but I think NF is worth is slightly more. Get all of them imo tho :P |

anyways, if you are going pve and pvp, i'd suggest getting both nightfall and factions, some good skills in both that you'll want/need at some point.

nightfall for [[burning arrow], [[mending touch], and [[natural stride]. all of the other vital skills for ranger are either core or prophecies.

as long as you are playing ranger NF would be your best bet but faction has some good skills as well, get nf first then faction as money permits

[quote=SidewaysJump]This thread is moot. A random person on the official AoC boards just gave me a guildwars account with all the expansions because they said they never planned to play again. I rapidly changed the password, email and account information as fast as I could before they changed their mind, THEN sent them a long PM thanking them a great deal. This thread is moot and I am *VERY* happy .[/quote
It's good thing you didn't use your IGN, I hope. |
